Moschino, considered as one of the most prestigious Italian brands, started to be on the catwalks in 1983 with a women collection which was a big success.
In the next years the success kept increasing so that the now well-known stylist Franco Moschino launched a men collection and an economic collection for everyone. The brand took the decision to be against the fashion-clichè, the models stopped to walk down the catwalks and new advertisements to raise awareness about the environment have been made.
In 1994 Franco Moschino died because of an heart attack and Rossella Jardini, his faithful partner, took his place in the company, but in 1999 the brand was sold to Aeffe, and several boutiques have been opened.
In its 30 years of life, the brand has always been able to be different and new, starting from women collection, going through men collection, perfumes, watches and kids collection.
In October 2013 Rossella Jardini gave her position to the young Jeremy Scott. A success made in Italy.
After Sponge Bob, Barbie and Looney Tunes , Moschino adds Super Mario to the list of Jeremy Scott's pop-culture, cartoon icons.
